CLIENT: NAVIGATION PROPERTY MARKETING SUITE SERVICES COLLABORATORS: NU LIVING, SWAN HOUSING DATE COMPLETED: JULY 2018 LOCATION: BLACKWALL, LONDON Located within a busy urban estate of London, this two-storey marketing suite is situated within the Blackwall Reach redevelopment scheme in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets over the Northern section of Blackwall Tunnel. The brief from our client was to design a marketing suite with a dedicated sales area to the ground floor with a first-floor area capable of housing two show apartment layouts relevant to the current and future construction phases of the main development. The floor had to have an adaptable space so that the show apartments can be updated as the construction phase is completed. CLIENT: Nicholas Anthony COMPLETED: 2016 LOCATION: 121 Chesterton Road, Cambridge SIZE: 408sqm   Nicholas Anthony are a 50 year old family run business, providing luxury kitchens, bathrooms and interiors via their showrooms in Ascot, Cambridge, Colchester, Knightsbridge and Mayfair. The company had recently taken control of a new property in Cambridge, and required GROW to undertake the transition, adaptation and fit-out of the property, to their exactly standards. GROW were appointed to carry concept designs, involving liaising with all parties involved with the project and formulating a design around the stakeholders requirements. We formulated a planning strategy around the mechanical and electrical contractor, signage company, structural engineer and Building Control Authority, and the planning application was submitted and approved. Atlanta Cafe Essex

CLIENT: PRIVATE LOCATION: CLACTON-ON-SEA, ESSEX SIZE: 250SQM Clacton-on-Sea is located within the district of Tendring, and is the largest town in the Tendring peninsula. The seaside provides a strong day trip contingent, which provides a considerable support to the local economy. Our clients run the local restaurant which is situated in a prominent location within the town – the lower promenade next to the pier. Our brief was to undertake a scheme of refurbishment and improvement to the existing structure which was substantially built in the 1950s. GROW designed a simple programme of upgrades to the building, including the provision of a new raised terrace and lift to the first floor which could be converted into a conference centre. Glass balustrades would replace existing with stainless steel handrails, while timber cladding is added internally, and a full redecoration is to be undertaken. We understand the scheme is under consideration.

Our design offered a sophisticated exterior using a combination of ACM cladding and full height glazing which allowed our client to install retail screens to be controlled remotely by the agency, the first of their kind in the UK. Expanding upon the brief of innovative building technology we decided to use timber frame construction methods throughout for both ease of construction and its sustainability aspects. Our brief was for a new-build temporary structure and due to its elevated position within the site the decision was taken to increase its presence by raising it to two floors in order to take full advantage of the site constraints and in doing so we were able to create a sophisticated and visually stunning building. Taylor Wimpey North Thames requested the design, build and installation of the marketing suite within an 8-week construction programme.
